The Kabul Sewing Center

Susan Moodie has written the proposal for the sewing center and in September 2007, Mary went to Afghanistan to begin laying the groundwork. Afzenda will establish the Sewing Center, designed to start with ten dressmakers and with capacity to expand as orders increase.

Items will include xx that will be sold locally in Kabul, the US and eventually, on this website.

You Can Help Create the Kabul Sewing Center

Just $60,000 will fund the Kabul Sewing Center for a whole year, including building rent, materials, salaries for management and staff, equipment and utilities.

How your money will be used:

Our Budget is $60,000

We anticipate start-up needs to be approximately $60,000. This initial money will support the Afzenda and the Sewing Center for a period of 1-year during which we will set-up the Organization and the Sewing Center, as well as hire staff, select workers, and establish adequate inventory.
